My honey crystalized – what do I do?
Crystals in Your Honey? Don’t Bee Alarmed! 🐝
Honey sometimes gets a bit “frosty” when its natural sugars link up to form crystals — it’s a totally natural process and a sign of pure, high-quality honey.
Want it smooth again? Just give your jar a warm bath by heating a pot of water to 140 degrees – remove from heat and set your bottle in the pan. Let the bottle cool in the pan. You can also just set the honey outside in the sun until the crystals go away. Never use the microwave — it’s a buzzkill for honey’s flavor and goodness.
Tip: Keep honey cozy at room temp to slow down the crystal party.
